COVID-19 MEASURES

 

Dear guest,

Hotel Panorama, with high degree of professional and social responsibility, was one of the three hotels in Thessaloniki, which was continuous operating during the coronavirus pandemic period following the Act of law issued on 24th March 2020.
 
As always, we take great care in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our hotel in order to ensure the safety of our guests and employees. 

Specific steps Hotel Panorama is taking include:

Educating staff:  Our hotel staff is receiving ongoing enhanced operating and cleaning protocols. All team members are trained on what the virus is, ways in which it is transmitted, symptoms to look out for and daily measures to prevent contamination and spread of viruses in personal, operational and guest spaces. 

Personal hygiene is being reiterated, including the importance of washing hands frequently and thoroughly, avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth, practicing respiratory hygiene. All staff members are sufficient supplied with hand sanitisers, gloves, masks, paper towels and disinfectant materials

Information:  Our team is able to inform guests on the hotel’s rules and the new measures taken to address incidents, and provide useful information to health care providers regarding the locations of public and private hospitals, Covid-19 reference hospitals and pharmacies in the area 

Guest hand sanitisers (alcohol based) are placed in easy reach of guests in all public areas of the hotel 

Check-In: All items on the front desk (pen, registration form and room key card) and the receptionists’ hands are sanitized prior to any guest interaction. 

Distancing: In order for all to maintain a distance of two meters from one another, the hotel has added floor markings 

Elevator: Guests are advised not to use the elevator.  The maximum use of our elevators is by two adults

Regular routine cleaning of public areas such as restrooms, breakfast rooms, restaurants, table tops, hand rails, door knobs, back office surfaces and front desk surfaces are wiped down on a regular routine throughout the day with a disinfectant cleaner

Guest Rooms: Our hotel uses enhanced disinfection and deep cleaning practices in accordance to EODY instructions after guests depart and before the next guest arrive, with particular attention paid to high-touch items.  The duration of check-out and check-in times between stays is extended (check out by 11am and check in from 3pm) so that rooms can be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and aired out through natural ventilation

Housekeeping:  Only limited cleaning services are provided for guests staying beyond one single night (this is for housekeeping staff to avoid coming in contact with possible cases and to prevent further transmission). The daily change of sheets, pillowcases and towels is being avoided and carried out only upon the request of guests. Special rules will apply for guests, who stay longer periods 

Breakfast serving standards have been reviewed to replace the usual buffet with a la carte breakfast options presented to guests to avoid any instances of buffet contamination during this high alert period

Restaurant: All seating areas comply with government's social distancing measures. We have implemented of enhanced food safety and hygiene protocols for restaurant, group meetings and events

Suitepad: Our Hotel has invested in contactless solutions and guests are advised to use electronic alternatives for placing meal orders and retrieving information

Reduction of the teams and mobilized staff to the minimum necessary to cover the essential services

Medical kit is available for the occurrence of an incident, which will include disposable gloves and masks, antiseptics, cleaning wipes, apron, long-sleeved robe, thermometer

Operational plan for managing Covid-19 cases:  If we are alerted to a suspected case of COVID-19, our Hotel has an operational plan in accordance to the current instructions of health authorities. At the same time we have a doctor on call, who will act on the instructions of EODY for testing suspected cases of Covid-19
